Adrian Moya

I've worked on several projects outside the scope of my required school curriculum. Among these are:

A Java program that pings servers to ensure they are online, and sends an email to an admistrator with the details when one goes offline
A Java and MATLAB program with a user-friendly GUI that stores massive amounts of (model) patient, doctor, and hospital data, and can be used as an informational database as well as for predictive analysis.
A random data generator, written in Java and which talks to a MySQL Database, which reads parameter requests and then generates thousands of data points and writes them back to a database. This data is then used by the open-source machine learning program Weka.

Since 2010, I've been spending my summers working as an administrative assistant and IT specialist at Business Computer Systems. Through this job I have practical experience in networking, PS security and cleanup, hardware repair, Crystal Reports generation, and programming in Providex.
In addition to my regular job, I spent the summer of 2015 interning at Game Changer Tec. My role was a developer on the data generator project detailed above, and I accumulated skills in Java and MySQL as well as an understanding of data mining and statistical analysis.

I'm very proud of my academic achievments. Here is a brief history of my schooling:

Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, where I attended middle and high school.
Entered the Honors College at Miami-Dade college with a full scholarship and as a film major. Graduated with an Associate's degree in Computer Science
Currently enrolled at the University of Florida as a Computer Science major and Business Administration minor. Plan to graduate in May of 2016.
